Our insurance provides all students and renters with $100,000 of bodily injury liability insurance and no coverage for property or aircraft damage. For both of our protections, Sky Chiefs Aviation, REQUIRES ALL STUDENT PILOTS AND RENTERS to have renter’s insurance – NO EXCEPTIONS.
What are The Required Insurance Amounts?
Said insurancemust have the following minimum coverage:
- Aircraft Liability: Minimum of $250,000 and occurrence bodily injury and property damage limited to $25,000 each passenger.
- Aircraft Physical Damage: Minimum of $5,000each occurrence including deductible insurance of $5,000 each occurrence. For those who wish to rent at night and do not have at least 10 solo hours of night flight time, you must have $30,000 in hull damage coverage. Student Pilots will not be permitted to solo at night; therefore, they are not required to have the additional coverage.
